I am a Colorado Native and have been a member of the Castle Rock community since 1997. I officially formed my business in 2002 when I decided I wanted to be with my family more. I had been a Background Investigator working with the government for several years which required me to travel a lot. Prior to federal investigations work I also worked for a local veterinarian, where I gained a lot of experience that I still incorporate today. I also spent four years (1999-2002) volunteering at Ocean Journey with the animal staff there.

My pet sitting business was very part time and I had only a handful of clients. When I decided to start a family I had to choose my path in life and I chose the work that I loved best and would be most proud of. I have been working in Animal Husbandry since 1991 and my Bachelor’s Degree is in Zoology, therefore working with animals was inevitable.

Family Petsitting has grown almost exclusively by referrals. My clients and their pets receive personal one on one communication and care. I truly treat every client and their pets like family.

Professionalism and dependability are my goals as well as providing the most loving and stress free experience for the pets in my care.    ~ Lisa Aldrich

what our clients say

  • “We have had Lisa walking our dogs for 12 years. She has become part of our family. Our pets love her and are always happy to see her. Many times in those 12 years, I have thought I don’t know what I would do without Lisa.”

    -Ana

  • “I’ve worked with Family Pet Sitting for almost 10 years and cannot say how pleased I am with the high level of attention, love and care they deliver to my two cats, Basil and Finn! I always come home to two very calm and happy kitties which shows that they have gotten lots of attention and interaction which gives me and my family peace of mind while we’re out-of-town. The team also does small chores such as plant watering, bringing in the mail, and trash can back-and-forth which also is a huge help and a nice value-add. Lisa’s previous experience working with Veterinarians also gives me confidence that medicine will be administered properly and if anything goes wrong, the cats are in good, qualified hands. I could easily find a neighbor to care for my cats free of charge but feel the service and peace of mind I get from Family Pet Sitting is worth it”

    -Eileen

  • “We’ve used Family Pet Sitting for 5 plus years. Lisa is so wonderful and all of our pets love her. She is very reliable and detail oriented. It’s nice not having to worry about our pets when we are away on vacation. We know they are in good hands.”

    -Amy

  • Lisa and Family Petsitting have been taking care of our furry family members since we moved to Colorado 7 years ago. My family leaves on vacation with the utmost confidence that our pets are well cared for. We recommend her to family and friends all the time.”

    -Beth V
    Franktown, CO

  • “Family Petsitting is the absolute best! My husband and I both travel and those travel times frequently coincide. Lisa is awesome at getting us into the schedule even when it’s short notice. We have three cats and they are always happy and well cared for when we get home. Lisa has even sent us pictures of one of them doing something really cute. I’ve used other pet sitters in the past and Family Petsitting is definitely at the top end of the business.”

    -Pat

  • “Lisa has been pet-sitting for me over 7 years. She has loved my dogs like her own and I always feel very comfortable when I am out of town and rely on her to care for them. They actually look forward to seeing her and don’t feel quite so lonely. She has also supported us when any of them had health issues and needed that extra support on a daily basis while we were at work. This included medications and that extra attention they sometimes need. She has experienced the good (when they have behaved perfectly) and the bad (when they bark at 2:00am and the neighbors complain) but maintains her dedication and love for them. I would recommend her to anyone.”
